Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe banana (sliced)
  • 1 ripe avocado (peel and remove stone)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup low-fat milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 6-8 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender.
  2. Peel the banana and add it to the blender.
  3. Pour in the milk and add the honey, vanilla extract, and chia seeds if using.
  4. Add the ice cubes.
  5. Blend for 30–60 seconds or until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk and blend again.
  7. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
  8. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use frozen banana for an even thicker smoothie.
  • Very ripe bananas provide the best natural sweetness.
  • Almond milk, oat milk, and coconut milk all work well in this recipe.
  • Add protein powder or Greek yogurt for a more filling breakfast smoothie.
